Horse Riding Holidays for Unaccompanied Children
From 9 years upwards, children will love a holiday at Raygill in the friendly family atmosphere. Our fully qualified staff will care for your child in a safe environment. All staff at Raygill Riding Centre are subject to checks on the police national computer in addition to a process of stringent up-take of previous references.
It's a great way for kids to have lots of fun, improve their riding skills and get exposure to all that's involved in looking after a horse for a week. These weeks really are action-packed with a full programme of activities from breakfast right through to bedtime. Just a sample of what's included are lessons, treks, picnic rides, games and jumping, a gymkhana, disco and a barbeque.
Riding Improvement
If children would like to improve their riding we can provide them with tailored lessons in their holiday. They can work on dressage, cross country or show jumping. Instruction can be aimed at the BHS progressive riding tests suitable for all ages from beginner to advanced. All lessons are delivered by highly qualified instructors.Beginner Riders
If your child has not ridden before, after a week's intensive instruction they will be well on their way to riding confidently, handling and looking after a pony or horse.Trekking
During a trek with us children will explore the superb landscape, through woodlands, over moors and through rivers with experienced leaders.Meals
The meals we provide consist of a healthy balanced menu incorporating plenty of fruit and vegetables. Some meals will be enjoyed as a picnic on day long treks, other times children will eat on the farm. Specific diets can be catered for - please ask when booking.Accommodation
Accommodation on the farm comprises of en-suite, twin rooms, loft room and bunk room. It's a fun atmosphere as children enjoy the companionship of their friends and room-mates.Pony Club
